Before You Burn

Trim the Wick

Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn.
This ensures a steady flame, prevents soot, and extends the life of your candle.

Remove Debris

Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, or any foreign materials.

First Burn = Most Important

Allow your candle to burn until the entire surface has melted (usually 2–3 hours).
This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even, long-lasting burn.

During Burn

Burn Time Limit

Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Keep Away From Drafts

Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from vents, fans, and open windows.
Drafts can cause uneven burning, smoking, or flickering.

Never Leave Unattended

Do not leave a burning candle unattended or within reach of children or pets.

Jar Safety

Stop burning when ¼ inch of wax remains.
This prevents the jar from overheating or cracking.

General Safety

Keep Away From Flammable Items

Always keep candles at least 12 inches away from anything flammable, including curtains, papers, furniture, and decor.

Never Move a Burning Candle

Allow the candle to cool completely before touching or relocating.

Heat Warning

Candle jars may become warm while burning — this is normal.
Handle with care.

Storage

Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve scent and color quality.

Aftercare

Extinguish Properly

Use a snuffer for the cleanest extinguish, or gently blow out the flame.
Avoid using the lid to extinguish — doing so can trap smoke and soot.

Wick Maintenance

Re-center the wick while the wax is still warm if needed.

Reuse or Recycle

Clean the jar once finished and repurpose it for storage, decor, or recycling.
